COVID-19 policies & FAQS
As you may have already noticed there have been some adjustments here at South as we respond and acclimate to the constant changes and updates with regards to Covid-19. Below you’ll find our new policies with regards to dine-in services as well as answers to your frequently asked questions. Hopefully this will help and as always we thank you all for your support and patronage.
PLEASE NOTE: Our policies for dine-in and take out are non-negotiable. We have these rules in place to keep you and our staff safe. We ask that patrons remain calm, patient and respectful and adjust with us as we take the steps to reopen.
NEW DINE-IN POLICY
South now offers limited dine-in seating in the upper dining room section of our restaurant. With limited seating please expect that there may be wait times, therefore be respectful of the staff as they work to serve as many of our patrons as possible. Please note the following policies before deciding whether to dining in our restaurant is right for you.
• Guests are expected to be in groups they have had prior contact with
• Guests are expected to be aware if they are of a population at high risk and not travel in public if they feel ill, have a fever or have come in contact with any ill individuals
• All Guests are requested to sanitize hands prior to entry or use supplied restroom wash stations
• NO more than 6 persons per party, no reservations
• Maintain social distancing when waiting in-line at entrance, restrooms and register
• Adhere to any floor markers at business denoting ‘social distancing’ spaces
• Walk-Ins will be required to wait 6 feet from door and entrance areas
• Guests will be required to ‘box’ their own left-overs when requesting a to-go package or box.
• Guests should not make nor encourage any physical contact with Service Staff or other guests outside of your party
CAN I PAY WITH CASH?
For the time being we are suspending cash payments for safety reasons and convenience. Credit card/chipped cards only.
DO YOU DELIVER?
We currently do not deliver, nor are we affiliated with any of the current food delivery service apps. We do have curbside pickup options if you are not comfortable coming inside the restaurant to pick up your order. Simply make arrangements with the staff when you call in.
I CALLED TO PLACE AN ORDER AND COULDN’T GET THROUGH/went to voicemail…
If you called and could not get through please try again. It means our staff is on the other line assisting other customers. With limited dine-in service and the majority of our business being to-go orders our phones are generally busier than normal and we especially experience a high volume of calls in the evening during dinner service as well as on Fridays and Saturdays. We ask for your patience as we work hard to serve everyone!
CAN I PLACE ORDERS VIA INSTAGRAM/FACEBOOK MESSENGER, EMAIL OR VOICEMAIL?
We ask that you please not attempt to place orders via our social media, email or voicemail. Our in-house staff does not regularly check these platforms, we have separate staff for that, and therefore it is not assured that your order would be received in a timely manner. Please call in with your order and as mentioned above, if you can’t get through the first time please try again.
CAN I PLACE ORDERS IN ADVANCE FOR LATER TIMES/DATES?
We are currently not accepting such orders as the current situation means we cannot predict what business/availability will be like day to day. If you have a desired pickup time please call 20 - 30 minutes beforehand.
If we don’t feel comfortable coming to the restaurant right now are there other ways we can support you?
Of course! The safety of you and your family is important! If you want to support South from the comfort of your home head to our shop where you can purchase gift cards, apparel and more!
